[01] Background

"Moonkat.io" is a blockchain anti-fraud browser extension. We identified that one of the most common issues in blockchain is that people are easily lured into scams, leading to poor experiences and significant financial losses. Therefore, we are committed to providing users with a secure environment to interact with on-chain applications.

[02] Branding

When conceptualizing the brand's tone, I drew inspiration from the habits of meerkats. Meerkats are social animals that take turns standing guard while others rest, ensuring the safety of the group. We want to offer users a similar experience, where they can join us in building a secure blockchain environment while helping them avoid fraud. For the color palette, we aimed to evoke feelings of "warmth" and "safety," choosing the comforting hue of "White Rock" as the primary color.

Enhance User Security through Transaction Simulation

To provide users with a clear understanding of how each transaction impacts their wallet, ensuring informed decision-making. By simulating transactions before confirmation, we help users avoid potential financial risks, creating a safer interaction with decentralized applications (dApps).

Increase Transparency in Token Authorization

To ensure users are fully aware of the tokens they are authorizing during interactions with dApps. This feature aims to prevent unauthorized access and misuse of tokens by providing clear, upfront information about token permissions, thereby fostering trust in the user experience.

Protect Users from Phishing Attacks

To safeguard users from malicious websites by integrating a phishing detection system. When a user attempts to visit a site flagged as suspicious, the extension alerts them with a warning, helping to prevent potential fraud and enhancing the overall security of their blockchain interactions.

Designed and implemented a user-friendly transaction simulation interface that seamlessly integrates with MetaMask. This feature displays a clear and concise overview of how each transaction will affect the user’s wallet before they confirm it, reducing the likelihood of unintended financial consequences. The interface is designed to be both informative and non-intrusive, ensuring users feel secure without compromising their experience.

Developed a straightforward token authorization confirmation window that appears during interactions with dApps. This solution provides users with a detailed view of the specific tokens being authorized, ensuring transparency and preventing unauthorized token access. The design emphasizes clarity and simplicity, enabling users to make informed decisions with confidence.

Implemented a phishing detection alert system that integrates smoothly into the browsing experience. When users attempt to visit a flagged site, a warning window is triggered, clearly indicating the potential risk. This solution prioritizes user safety without disrupting the browsing flow, offering a proactive approach to protecting users from fraud.
